FAQ

How can you help me?

Work and Live start with your own values and priorities. We work with you to agree goals, and then the best way to get there, using all resources including our extensive experience of recruitment and the psychology of happiness

I need another job, how can you help?

We have an extensive background in recruitment at all levels, including headhunting at the most senior levels. We have published in this area, sand know what employers are looking for and where they are likely to be looking. We work with you to identify the work you enjoy and are good at, and the evidence to support this. Sometimes this identifies a different type of work - either way we work with you to develop the best approach and timing and brief you on selection to give you the best chance to obtain the best work for you, that will fit the work life balance you want.

Can’t I do all this myself?

In a word, No. In our extensive experience people need a dialogue to calibrate their sense of perspective and to fully appreciate their own strengths, and a critical evaluation of their own priorities, particularly at a time of major change. Otherwise we take things for granted and miss opportunities. We have over 25 years experience in the psychology of work and happiness and how individuals can get a better work life balance. We work with you and those you care about to develop a balanced set of priorities, and a plan of action, and support you during this.

How much will this cost? What standards do you work within?

Our fees are normally based on a percentage of salary, and is often paid by the existing or future employer. Please contact us for a free preliminary discussion. Work and Live and its associates are professional chartered work psychologists and conduct our work in line with the professional standards of the British Psychological Society. Group work is sometimes an option and can help reduce cost, and enhance perspectives.
